NeuSpark PDS is proud to recognize employees who consistently go the extra mile to support our mission. Each quarter, we honor team members with a GEM Award—short for Going the Extra Mile. This award celebrates individuals who make an exceptional impact, whether by enhancing the lives and well-being of the people we support, uplifting their co-workers, or contributing positively to the overall work environment at NeuSpark PDS.

Details of the GEM Award

• GEM award winners will be selected every quarter.
• Winners will receive a bonus of $500 via payroll (NeuSpark PDS is required to deduct taxes).
• Winners will receive a special thank you from the Executive Director and be featured on the NeuSpark PDS website and social media platforms. 

Selection of GEM Award Winners

GEM award winners will be selected by the Executive Director with the help of relevant co-workers and managers. We are asking all NeuSpark PDS employees to use the form to nominate a fellow NeuSpark PDS employee, if you think they are a GEM. The selection criteria are below. 

Selection Criteria

Nominees for the GEM Award make a significant positive impact at NeuSpark PDS and should demonstrate the following:

• Significant positive contributions beyond what is expected in the area of teamwork, collaboration, and individual work performance;  
• Outstanding support for the people we support that demonstrates the core principles of person-centered thinking and practice;
• Willingness to assist others in order to contribute to a culture of collaboration and learning, and/or;
• Positive outlook that improves the work climate for everyone around them. These are people who are rays of sunshine, giving encouragement and praise to their co-workers and/or the people we support.

Submission Guidelines

• The nomination must include the employee’s full name, work location, job title, and contact information
• The nomination must be completed using the online GEM Nomination Form.
• The nomination must provide detailed, specific examples of the nominee’s contributions and/or positive qualities.  
• Nominations that do not have detailed, specific examples will not be considered, and the nominator may be asked to resubmit the form to provide detailed, specific examples for the next round of submissions.
